Product Requirements:
The product is a large automotive seat backrest bracket with irregular curved features on all sides. The profile tolerance requirement is ±1 mm. The part is large, and the profile tolerance is demanding.
Product Overview:
Material: PP+GF30. Dimensions: 478 × 523 × 195 mm. The surface has a textured finish. The mold is a single‑cavity design (1 cavity).

Mold Solution:
Due to the large size, open center structure, and the presence of glass fiber in the material, the part is prone to warpage caused by both shrinkage and molecular orientation. To address this challenge, detailed mold flow analysis was performed before mold manufacturing to determine the precise gate location. In addition, a carefully designed cooling circuit was implemented to control the deformation through mold temperature differentials during the molding process, bringing the warpage within the profile tolerance range. Through these measures, the dimensions and profile of this large part were perfectly kept within tolerance.

Result Feedback:
The mold achieved mass production readiness at T3, and the customer is very satisfied.
