Product Requirements:
The product is the main housing of a navigation robot, featuring mesh holes on both left and right sides. The cosmetic appearance requirements are very strict.
Product Overview:
Material: Flame‑retardant ABS V0 grade. Dimensions: 366 × 443 × 155 mm. As a visible part, weld lines must be controlled within designated areas, and no parting line is allowed on the mesh hole features.

Mold Solution:
To meet the product requirements, detailed mold flow analysis was performed before mold manufacturing to determine the precise gate location, ensuring that weld lines fell within the customer’s specified areas. For demolding the mesh hole features, the mold was designed with an internal slide combined with ejector pins mounted on the slide. This structural design perfectly eliminated any parting line on the cosmetic surface around the mesh holes and prevented the material from sticking to the mold in those areas.

Result Feedback:
The mold achieved mass production readiness at T2, and the customer is very satisfied.
