Product Requirements:
The product is an automotive seat side wing adjustment support with large internal undercuts and undercuts in multiple directions. It requires tight control over product warpage, and the mold structure is complex.
Product Overview:
Hard plastic material: PA6+GF30. Surface finish: textured. Dimensions: 138 × 271 × 94 mm. Wall thickness: 2.5 mm. Mold cavitation: 1+1.

Mold Solution:
To meet the stringent warpage requirements, detailed mold flow analysis was performed prior to mold manufacturing to determine the optimal gate location and identify potential high-temperature zones during the molding process. In response to these zones, a targeted cooling circuit was designed to ensure uniform cooling and control warpage. To address the undercuts in various directions on both the inside and outside of the part, a slide‑on‑slide mechanism was incorporated into the mold design, perfectly resolving the demolding challenges.

Every detail of the mold was well executed from design to manufacturing, achieving a truly high‑quality mold. The mold achieved mass production readiness at T1, and the customer was very satisfied.
