Product Requirements:
The product is the side panel of the car seat, featuring a significant height difference, numerous inner undercuts, and a complex structure.
Product Introduction:
The product is made of ABS, with dimensions of 200X548X479mm. As a covering part, it has a large height difference and a complex structure, with high requirements for contour accuracy. The mold has 1+1 cavities, and the total weight of the mold is 13 tons.
Mold Solution:
In response to the product requirements, a meticulous mold flow analysis was conducted before mold opening to determine the precise position of the gate, ensuring that the deformation of the product stays within the contour range. However, considering the particularity of the complex inner structure of the product, an ultra-thin inclined lifter structure was designed for the mold, and special mold steel was used for the inclined lifter, guaranteeing its strength. These measures perfectly solved the problem of the complex inner structure of the large mold.
Feedback on the Results:
The mold was transferred after the second trial (T2), and the customer was extremely satisfied.
